WESTOVER, BERNARD A., 87, Northern Cambria, passed away February 13, 2017, at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. Born January 18, 1930, in Burnside Twp., the son of John A. and Effie Viola (Judson) Westover. Preceded in death parents; sons, David and Bernard Westover Jr. and several brothers and sisters. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen (Weakland) Westover; daughters, Colleen, wife of Charles Whittle, Johnstown; Arlene, wife of Melvin Miller, Tyrone; Betsy Westover, Natrona Heights; and son, Leroy, married to Barb (Taylor) Westover, Fallentimber; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sister of Rosella Milchalk, Westover. Bernard grew up on a farm in Clearfield County, where he learned hard work at a young age. US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Retired Coal Miner. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Pastor Robert Summers officiating. Committal, East Ridge Cemetery. Military honors by local veterans organizations.
