Paul Miller Obituary

Miller, Paul, 78, Carrolltown, passed away June 12, 2017, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born May 29, 1939, in Emeigh, the son of Rose Miller and John Checkock. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, John, Stanley, Joe, Frank, Walter and Andy Miller; and sister, Virgie Belski. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Margaret "Marge" (Malinowsky) Miller; daughter, Teri, wife of Harry Younkin, Northern Cambria; sons, Paul Miller, husband of Samantha (Potonic), Westover; and Christopher Miller, Macungie, PA; and grandchildren, Megan and Michael. Also survived by sisters, Rose Basile, Utica, NY; and Elizabeth "Liz" Klingensmith, Branden, FL; also numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Member of Northern Cambria Civil Defense Club. Paul worked many years in the mining industry as Plant Foreman with Barnes & Tucker Co., Inland Steel and Consolidated Coal, both in Illinois, then retired from Tanoma Mines. Friends will be received from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Church. Fr.
