OVERBERGER, ELIZABETH A. (Pardee), 91, Hastings, passed away February 22, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 19, 1934, in Colver, daughter of the late Edward E. and Sylvia (Lloyd) Pardee. Preceded in death by husband Joseph B. Overberger Sr., who died July 10, 2011. His death ended 57 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by grandson, Adam Bearer; brothers, Gordon “Tom” Pardee; William “PeeWee” Pardee; sister, Ruth Skitka and Margaret Pardee. Survived by children, Karen (James) Bearer; Brenda (Daniel) Dupas; Patricia (Mark) Miller; all of Hastings; Joyce (Brian) Shuma, Blairsville; and Joseph B. (Loretta Ebell) Overberger, Jr., Roy, New Mexico; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers and three sisters. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Liz served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 343, Barnesboro, for two terms (1980–1981 and 1982–1983). For 19 years, she worked alongside Alfaretta “Freddie” Stafford coordinating weddings and banquets at VFW Post 343. She also served as Assistant Manager of Bingo, which they ran together for nine years. Additionally, she worked part-time for the Northern Cambria School District for nine years in the cafeteria at both the High School and Middle School. Joe and Liz loved traveling together and spent many years exploring the United States in their Jayco trailer, visiting every state except Alaska. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Fr.
