Levann G. (Lanzendorfer) Sherry

SHERRY, LEVANN G., 92, Ebensburg, passed away April 20, 2024, surrounded by family.  Born October 19, 1931, in Belsano, the daughter of Clem and Mary (Natcher) Lanzendorfer.  Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 66 years, David Sherry, who died May 4, 2016; son, Thomas Sherry; brothers, Harold, Charles, Murray, and Fred Lanzendorfer; and sisters, Clara D’Alicandro, Josephine Duman, and Luella Rehus.  Survived by children; Darlene, wife of Ronald Jacobs, Revloc; Irene, wife of Gene Ray; Daniel Sherry, husband of Deanna (Gergely); Pauline, wife of Michael Hull; and George Sherry, husband of Melinda (Lutch), all of Ebensburg; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Kathleen Kozicky, Ebensburg and sisters-in-law, Erma and Germaine Lanzendorfer.  Life member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Nicktown and the Altar & Rosary Society.  Levann also enjoyed working at the St. Nicholas Social Hall for weddings and bingo, sharing her love of cooking with the community.  She was an avid cinch player and took pleasure in embroidering, canning, and tending to her roses.  Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.   She will be deeply missed.  Family and friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at Moriconi Funeral home, Inc., Northern Cambria.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  Fr. Jeremiah Lange, OSB, PhD officiating.  Interment, St. Nicholas Cemetery.  The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Levann’s caregivers, Kim and Debbie and also a note of thanks to Miners Medical Center for all the care she received.
