Regis E. Westrick

WESTRICK, REGIS E., 99, Patton, passed away February 17, 2026, at Haida Nursing and Rehabilitation, Hastings.  Born November 2, 1926, at home in Patton, the son of William and Rose (Thomas) Westrick.  Regis was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Edna Kay (Nealen) Westrick, who passed away in 2020; siblings and their spouses, Herman (Mary Agnes) Westrick, Edna (Raymond) Niebauer, Bernard Westrick, Hilda (Leo) Farabaugh, Edgar Westrick, Rita Werfel, Ann (Patrick) McAndrew and William (Rosemarie) Westrick, and son-in-law, Dennis Mowery.  Survived by children, Robert (Charlotte) Westrick, Diann Westrick, Donna (Frank) Lucas, Ronald (Penelope) Westrick, William (Bonnie) Westrick, Annette Mowrey, Glenn Westrick, Arlene (Charles) McMahon, and Martin (Diane) Westrick; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Regis spent his life working the land as a self-employed farmer, a calling that reflected his strong faith, perseverance, and deep connection to the rural community he loved.  A devoted member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown, and the Knights of Columbus, he lived his faith through service and example.  He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, hunting in the quiet of the woods, working patiently through puzzles, and gathering around the table to play cards with his family, where many of his fondest memories were made.  Honoring his wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation.  Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at St. Benedict Catholic Church.  Fr.
